I think day one went okay. Wasn't overly hungry by the time we got to have dinner even though it was kind of late. So I feel good about it. The hubby really enjoyed the rainbow salad slaw so that's a bonus. Complemented it several times. So I know that's a winner!
So on with Day 2.
Breakfast:
2 bacon, egg, and cheese tacos (only ate the insides not the tortilla so was about 2/3 cup of eggs, 1/4 cup a cheese and about that of bacon too. The bacon was all crumbled up and spooned on, wasn't much)
Fresh salsa
Coffee with a little creamer (same as yesterday)
2 donut holes (I know I know)
1 choco milk (I wanted milk it was what I was given, hubby knows my fav and my weakness and considering he doesn't know about this going again I wasn't going to complain)
Snack:
2 TBSP cottage cheese
1/4 cup maybe less of walnut halves
hibiscus/rose petal tea with 1 packet of monk fruit in the raw
Lunch:
3/4 cup of cottage cheese (minus 2 TBSP)
1 peach chobani yogurt
hibiscus/rose petal tea with 1 packet of monk fruit in the raw
PM Snack:
1 small spicy V8 juice
1 stick of Kraft Tomato Basil string cheese
Dinner: - Oh boy...
Phil's 78704 Burger with jack cheese, jalapenos, grilled onions, sliced avocado, chipolte mayo, on a jalapeno bun
sweet potato fries (didn't finish)
Diet Coke
1 small dish of Amy's chocolate bourbon custard
I know lunch wasn't that great but it wasn't the original plan, but with getting tacos, and the hubby coming back by the office with donuts and milk I wasn't really hungry and decided to hold off on my cottage cheese and yogurt and it was a good thing because the hubby got hung up at work and couldn't get away for lunch, so since it was raining to day, and I of course it's the one day I don't carry my backpack I didn't have my umbrella so I chose to stay at the office and just eat what I had. Now mind you, if I get really hungry I do have other nuts and oatmeal and such in my desk stash so if needed I can survive.
So far so good, was starting to get a little hungry then realized I hadn't had my afternoon snack. I am really liking these Tomato Basil cheese sticks. It's a nice little punch of flavor for the afternoon.
Dinner was not at all Phase 1 but well, it is what it is and it was GOOD. If you've ever had Amy's ice cream or been to Phil's Icehouse you understand.
Afterwards we went to the mall to pick some things up, pretty much walked the whole thing a couple of times plus the up escalators were out so we had to climb them ourselves (oh the horrors LOL) so we at least got a little exercise in.

And We're BACK! - P1 - D1 - 274
So, I think it's time to head back to the Beach for a while.
Since I last spent time on the Beach, my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer, under went chemo and radiation, and died. Spent a few years in widowhood. Met an amazing man, had some WILD times, got married, pinched a nerve in my back and found out I have herniated disks since probably 9 years-old, changed jobs, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and Hashimotos Disease (40+ years worth), had a full thyroidectomy, radioactive treatment and have sorta spent the last few years living life however I wanted. At times I was mindful of carbs and sugar and such, at other times, if I wanted it I ate it or drank it I didn't care I was going to enjoy myself. Period.
In all honest, I feel I've done fairly well since my thyroid surgery. After surgery, before I started my Synthroid, I only gained 10 pounds. I lost that, and so far an additional 10. I had hoped that once the Hashimotos was corrected that it would all just go away. Eh, not so much LOL!
So I thought it was time to stick my toes back in the sand of the Beach for a while. Get a nice little kick start and maybe drop a few before my next endocrinologists appointment.
Today has not been totally perfect as once I got home from the store last night we found ourselves totally cleaning out the pantry and re-orging the whole thing. I'll admit it, there were a couple of REALLY scary cans in there, but it's all gone now, shelves prepared with peppermint essential oil (to keep bugs and mice out) and new shelf liners put in place. There's TONS of room in there now! But it was like 10:30pm by the time we got that all done so I didn't get my meals prepared so I just had to grab some things this morning, but I think I've done well.
Breakfast:
Coffee with pumpkin creamer (creamer is not allowed on Phase 1 but it was only a couple of tablespoons, I'll measure for sure tomorrow)
3/4 cup cottage
AM Snack:
yogurt
hibiscus/rose petal tea with 1 splenda packet
6 walnut halves when I started feeling hungry before lunch
Lunch:
4oz roasted turkey
1/2 cup pinto beans
1/2 cup broccoli salad
3 TBSP choco cookie pudding
large unsweet tea
PM Snack:
1 small spicy V8 juice
1 stick of Kraft Tomato Basil string cheese
Dinner:
5-6 oz of steak
Borracha bean
1 cup rainbow salad/slaw
2 TBSP of Ken's onion dressing (I know not P1 but I'm easing into it)
Glass of tonic water (soda stream version so it's light on cals)
I don't get lunch until 1pm so the few walnuts really helped me keep from getting overly hungry. I figured if it helped enough to keep from getting the hungry sneezes
I know as far as Phase 1 is concerned, if I was going EXACTLY by the books would not have been so great. But I'm trying to ease back into this and slowly bring a man along in the gentlest way I know. I've been dieting since before I was 2 years old. He was lucky and grew-up skinny and started putting on weight after boot camp. His exwife was super morbidly obese and I know he was at times subjected to her diet crazes.
So I want to ease him into it so that it's an enjoyable thing not an all of a sudden slam change. The way I look at "dieting" if you must call it such, is to make changes that are going to be permanent or consistent things. I spent a life of slamming on the brakes and all of a sudden "this" is how it is gonna be. At some point it needs to be okay to have A donut or donut hole, just not a whole box. It's okay to have SOME ice cream, just not half a gallon. After a while, I get to where I'd rather have X over Z anyway so it all works out, but some times, a bowl of Z is all that is gonna make the world right again. LOL Goofy I know. LOL
So anyway, day one down. Day two to come.

Well....
Well, it's been a while. And I have not been so good.
I started cheating just a bit during the week of Christmas. And it hasn't exactly stopped. Well, now it's time to stop. I'm starting over. Back to phase one. I've put back on about 12 pounds. Though I'm still wearing a size 22 or smaller. Which I'm glad about, but they are starting to fit a bit tighter and I've noticed my neck is thicker again.
The Flashback Prom is in 25 days and I want to be back down to where I was...or better by then. I've got a sexy little outfit planned and want to look hotter than I feel right now. I've ordered my corset and I've got my mini-skirt and boots now I just need the extra sexy girl to go in them. So back to square one I go!

WOW...it has been a while since I posted anything. Life has been very very busy. The EMS confence went really well. I think I had way to many carbs, but at times they were the ONLY options available. I tried to limit them as much as I could and tried to choose options that were extremely low in carbs or carbless (as much as could be) for dinner, like the Ahi tuna and spinach salad....mmmmmmmm. I really wasn't too worried as we averaged walking about 10 miles a day. Yes I said 10 miles...we wear pedometers during the conference. My boss had 17 miles on hers the first day...but she bounces when she stands around too much...so I adjusted her sensativity and she had close to mine the next day, just 10ths of a mile difference. Anyway...since things have slowed down a bit, I'll get back into posting more regulary. This blog really helped keep things going and keep me straight.
If anyone is looking for something to buy me for the holidays...the SB books would be really nice :)(The Bible one and the cookbook) (I have the good fats/good carbs book already)

Day 1 P2 WK 3
WOW...this last week has been EXTREMELY stressful and busy. I haven't been exactly perfect this last week. I've tried to stay on course and for the most part have. I haven't drank as much water as I should. I had a carb friendly tortilla with my chicken wrap when we went to Sonic on Halloween. I had a small dish of ice cream and gave in to a cornie dog from Sonic. And even worse, a hotfudge sundea the next night. That's really the first ice creams I've had in a good while. And I had a piece of "corn" from one of those Harvest Mix/Candy Corn bags. But it was just one. Where I would normally have a handful if not half the bag. I didn't buy any candy for Halloween. Wouldn't matter. We live out in the country and our road was pitch black, full of water from the rain and no lights. Add about 4 black dogs to the mix and NO ONE ventures down our road. Not a bad deal huh? Though I do miss seeing all the kids and their costumes and the excitement of the little ones. Oh well, that's life in the country.
I'm debating staying on phase 1 for a few more days or moving on to phase 2. I'll have to think about it for a while. I've stayed off the scales for a few days as I'm sure by "badness" will show up and I'd rather not see it. I've noticed that if I don't drink the water stays. So I need to improve that. But I can see a difference in the way my clothes are fitting and my skin. It feels like it's not as full. Kind of like a bag that is full of something, then you take a bit out and the bag is more flexable. Kind of like that. A good sign I take it. Thought the thought of all that extra skin is a bit scary. My thighs have been LARGE since I was in the 3-4 grade (25 years) so I don't see it scrinking back much at all. But we'll see.
Breakfast:
mac frenchtoast/pancakes
cinnamon butter spread
coffee
1 sq 85% drk chocolate (you know the stress is high when I hit the chocolate right out of the gate!)
AM Snack:
1 Carb Control vanilla yogurt
1 spoon of natural peanut butter
We've got this weird seasonal algea thing going in our public water supply. It make the water taste like mold, some say grass. It's moldie tasting I don't care what they say. You might get a grassie aftertaste, but its MOLD. YUCK!!! It ain't making water intake easy at all!

Day 6 - P1 W=286
Well, I survived the weekend. Was really busy, and have a very busy week ahead too, both at my real job and my personal business. I had some major cravings and desires last night when I went to the grocery store. Course I hadn't really eaten all day and was a bit hungry...but then that's why I had to go. If I can make it through the next 8 days, I'll be doing good!
Breakfast:
Mock French Toast
1/2 cup ricotta
1 egg
1 packet splenda
dash of cinnamon
1/2 dash salt
4 tsp of cottage cheese
1 tsp cinnomon butter
coffee...coffee...coffee
AM Snack:
Sipped on vegde juice (fresh tomatoe, carrot, and celery)
handful of cashews
Lunch:
Spinach greens
hand full of sugar peas
3 large button mushrooms
Boiled egg
3 oz of tuna (maybe - haven't decided yet)
sprinke of pumpkin seeds - just a few for some added nutty crunch
PM Snack
Dinner:
Eve Snack:
That mock french toast recipe was good. I split it in half (which is what I have listed) and it was just about right for one person for breakfast. I made about 4 little 3" pancakie crepes. I'll need to work with it a bit. I kept breaking them in half when I flipped them. But they were really good, especially with the cottage cheese on them. mmmmmmmmmmmm I really wanted to pour syrup or sopappia honey on them but I didn't...the cheese added a nice touch to it, so I didn't miss the extra sweetness. Maybe in a few weeks I'll drizzle them.

Day 5 - P1 W= 286
I've got another busy day in the soap haus. All I've had so far is two cups of coffee. Need to get something to eat and get busy.
Breakfast
2 eggs
some ketchup
can't believe that really held me, all day, but it did.
I was really busy and bad about eating
Dinner (very very late 10ish)
Eggplant Parmasan
1/2 cup of skim ricotta w/cinnamon butter

Day 4 - P1 W=288
Well I had said I wasn't going to weigh every morning...but I was glad I did this morning. Was a wonderful surprise. Had to take my littest dog in for his weekly vet check-up. He broke his jaw and has it wired so he has to be checked. This was his 2 week check up and the vet said he wants to take it out after the first of the month. Just after 3 weeks! He's suppose to have it for 6 weeks. That is such great news!!! After the vet visit he and I went to the park and walked about 2 miles.
Pre-Breakfast Snack:
1 package of almonds
Breakfast:
3 farm fresh eggs
1 sausage patty
2 small roma tomatoes (fresh from my garden...and boy were they GOOD!)
Snack:
1 boiled egg
Lunch:
was bad...missed but breakfast was kind of late more of a breakfast
PM Snack:
1 boiled egg
Dinner:
exctremely late...and not so great
3 slices of ham (lunch meat) very good tasting though
I was busy working in the soap house all afternoon. I pushed my fluids, but wasn't so great at getting food. I grabbed an egg each time I came up to the house, but that was about it until I finished and came up. My blood sugar was kind of shaky all day.
